Our staff is as diverse as the children we serve. We have teachers who speak Russian and Spanish. And although we like to celebrate diversity all year, it is a tradition at True Sisters that we spend the spring months celebrating our diversity.
We would like to include all our families by asking our parents to provide an experience for your child's classroom that is indicative of your child's background. Given all our busy schedules, we understand if you cannot volunteer time with the class, but you can send something to share with a brief explanation as to its significance. Some suggestions are:
- Read a story or provide a book
- A special snack
- A simple art project
- A recipe the children can help make
- A song or piece of music
- A dance
