JDN is proud to have achieved a two star rating from Step Up To Quality, the state of Ohio’s new voluntary quality rating system for licensed early childhood programs. Step Up To Quality was created to improve the quality of care for Ohio’s children.

Because JDN has always held itself to the highest standards, we felt that it was important to participate in this project. Step Up pays close attention to class size, staff qualifications and training, workplace characteristics (benefits and other supports that promote the professional treatment of teachers and therefore less teacher turnover), and the language and literacy development of children. When all of these factors come together in a center, this commitment to quality results in an environment where children flourish.
