Juvenile Offender Program (JOP) |
JOP serves two categories of youth
JOP Assessment (paid by grant) – youth between the ages of 12 and 17 who have been adjudicated delinquent with a charge involving a violent act. These youth are viewed by court staff as progressing toward ODYS commitment, generally through failure in less-restrictive programs. Clients are suspected of having a mental health diagnosis evidenced by behavioral, cognitive, and/or affective impairments. Referrals come directly from the court.
JOP-like Assessment (paid by 4-C) - similar-aged youth who have been presented to the 4-C committee and have had multiple placements, and an ongoing history of mental health services, and are suspected of having a major mental health diagnosis but lack the clinical testing and documentation that would assist in determining the appropriate level of care. 4-C referrals will be initiated by the Director of Intersystem Programming.
The components of JOP are as follows:
* Psychological Assessment
* 4-C Review
* JOP Bed
* JOP Wraparound/Community
* Support Programming
