The goal of Monarch School is to provide the ultimate in individualized programming for children on the autism spectrum. We begin with a careful, in-depth diagnostic analysis of each child's specific strengths and weaknesses. We then develop an intensive language and educational plan that matches teaching style to the child's learning style. Our focus is to determine the method and style of teaching intervention that will be most meaningful and relevant to the student. Our approach is dynamic and multidimensional.
Programming for generalization occurs from the beginning by teaching skills across multiple settings and activities. All teaching takes place on an individual or small-group basis. When appropriate, two or three students at an equal skill level and with similar learning styles may have the opportunity for small-group instruction. Continuous monitoring is an essential program component.
Monarch Services' collaborative, multidisciplinary team is highly experienced in working with children on the autism spectrum. Through our partnership with Harvard Medical School, Childrens Hospital Boston, and Massachusetts General Hospital, we are developing a state-of-the-art teaching model that is philosophy neutral, and Monarch Services has come to be regarded as a program of excellence in teaching children with autism.
