Your toddler is ready for some new challenges. One of the most important challenges is the development of language and social skills, as well as problem-solving skills. Small group play, story time, music and art projects, and meals are all prime times for your child to experience the joys of verbal communication. As your toddler's language skill becomes more sophisticated, so does their ability to reason. Your toddler's environment will be filled with opportunities for making choices and to solve increasingly complicated problems all in safe supportive surroundings. When reasonable and possible, your youngster will do for him/herself and not have everything done for him/her. Trial and error is the most effective way to learn. |
