Outpatient Counseling

Individual, group, and family therapy is provided for children, teens and families on the Bellefaire JCB main campus. Children and teens are treated for a wide-range of mental health issues and behavioral problems, such as:

  • Parent-child or child-sibling conflicts
  • Problems in school
  • Attention deficit related disorders
  • Oppositional behaviors
  • Aggression
  • Problems with mood or motivation
  • Victims of sexual or physical abuse
  • Sexual offending behavior
  • Thoughts or attempts of suicide
  • Drug and alcohol abuse

Referrals for outpatient counseling can come from mental health professionals, school personnel, pediatricians, and families.

Outpatient counseling is also available to clients and families involved with other departments at Bellefaire JCB, such as residential treatment and foster care. Therapists work closely with other members of the treatment team to maximize healthy outcomes for clients and families.

The agency is committed to ongoing clinician training and participating in best practice models of care. Interventions used include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and collaborative problem solving.
