All psychological evaluations are performed by, or are under the direct supervision of, licensed clinical psychologists. Commonly addressed problems include:

• Determining the presence or absence of a specific mental health condition
• Examination of cognitive abilities
• Determining the level of academic skills
• Formulating treatment needs and strategies most likely to help the client
• Documenting changes in cognitive, academic or emotional functioning

While the number of office visits required to complete a psychological evaluation varies with the needs of each client, most evaluations are accomplished in two or three office visits, lasting one to two hours each. Following completion of the evaluation, parents are invited back to the Agency for a complete discussion of the results and recommendations.
