Children and teens between the ages of 6 and 18 are eligible to be matched with a Big in our program. Before any Big is accepted, they are carefully screened and must submit to a background check and an in-person interview. Our Bigs must be at least 21 years old.

The gift of friendship
We match Bigs with Littles based on common interests, and the friendship will be monitored by our staff to make sure the friendship is rewarding to both.
A Big does not take the place of a parent, but is a special friend who can help with homework, offer solutions to a problem, or just be there to listen.
Fun activities
Twice a month, Bigs and Littles get together to watch sports, listen to music, walk/hike, ride bikes and more. Sometimes group activities are planned with other Bigs and Littles. These can include:
- An annual Hanukah Party
- Fall fun at the farm
- Summer picnics
- A mystery bus ride
- Six Flags community service events
- Roller skating
- Snow tubing
- Rock climbing
- Ball games
- Hikes
- Browns stadium tour, and many more activities!
Did you know that Littles who regularly see their Bigs are:
- 46 percent less likely to begin using illegal drugs
- 27 percent less likely to begin using alcohol
- 52 percent less likely to skip school
- 35 percent less likely to become aggressive when angry
