Residential Treatment - Residential Child Care Worker |
Various shifts available, full and part time opportunities for Bachelor level professionals to provide guidance and instruction to foster emotional, physical and mental growth of clients through individualized and program interventions and positive role modeling. Assist clients in day-to-day activities in accordance with established guidelines.
Duties include: Maintain awareness of client’s emotional condition and facilitate the daily care of clients by providing emotional support, assistance and motivation; assure that basic social, emotional and physical needs are met; Participate in client’s progress by monitoring and evaluating client response to treatment, attending staff meetings and clinical rounds, and completing required status reports and paperwork; Facilitate treatment programs and cottage groups on various topics (i.e. anger management, relationship building, self-esteem, etc.); Provide a structured environment and provide day-to-day care of clients. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology or related field and experience with working with emotionally disturbed youth required.
