Collaboration with CCJC and Westhaven
PURPOSE OF PROGRAM: Bellefaire's Unruly Intensive Program (UIP) helps support families in crisis after an unruly complaint has been filed with a Cuyahoga County's Juvenile Court's (CCJC) intake officer.
Bellefaire JCB therapists provide assessment, case management, referrals, linkage to community-based services, and advocacy to the teen and the family. The sessions can occur in the client's home, school, community, and/or at Bellefaire's community-based satellite offices.
WHO: Juveniles up to 17 years old at the time of the complaint
* Unruly complaint 2151.022
* Diversion model
* Referred by Cuyahoga County intake officer
* Serving teens residing in Cuyahoga County
WHAT: An unruly complaint that has been filed with Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court intake officer.
WHY: To offer the families and teens support, skill development, training, and education to make their home a safer and more supportive place.
HOW:
* After a teen is referred to UIP, a Bellefaire therapist assesses the appropriateness and lethality of the teen and family. We contact the family within 24 hours to set up an assessment and stabilization session. * Based on families needs, we can utilize respite through Bellefaire's host homes for a maximum of three days within the 90-day program. Each case will be consulted with the CCJC program manager.
SERVICES:
* An assessment and stabilization session occurs within 24 hours of referral. Assessment is based on the results of the GRAD assessment. All involved parties sign an individualized safety contract and review on-call procedures.
* A case manager is immediately assigned.
* We provide case management for up to 90 days.
* We make any needed recommendations for continued services.
* In case of an emergency, call 216-932-2800 and ask to have the UIP worker PAGED
