Bellefaire JCB extends our care beyond our campus through a range of in-home family therapy programs designed to help children, youth, and families overcome challenges, build resilience, and strengthen relationships.
We believe children experience the greatest success when treatment takes place in their everyday environment, where parents, siblings, caregivers, and other important members of their support system can actively participate in the healing process. By meeting families where they are, our experienced clinicians provide personalized, evidence-based services that promote lasting change and help families thrive together.
In-Home Family Therapy Service Options:
Intensive Home Based Treatment
Intensive Home Based Treatment services are provided to children, youth, and families who need a higher level of support to address emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges. The program is designed to help families stabilize and strengthen functioning within the home and community.
Families typically participate in the program for three to six months, receiving three to six hours of service per week. As progress is made, services are gradually stepped down to less intensive outpatient care in the community.
Intensive Home Based Treatment uses a multisystem, wraparound approach that supports the whole family. Treatment focuses on strengthening relationships, improving communication, and developing practical strategies to address challenges. Interventions may include cognitive behavioral therapy, family preservation services, and coordinated care planning.
The counselor works closely with the family and collaborates with other involved systems, including schools, courts, therapists, and other community providers, to ensure coordinated and effective care.
Services include:
- In-home assessment and treatment
- Individual and family therapy
- Coordination with schools, courts, and providers
- Ongoing consultation and progress monitoring
- Transition and aftercare planning
Integrated Co-Occurring Treatment (ICT)
Integrated Co-Occurring Treatment (ICT) is an integrated treatment approach that is embedded in an intensive home-based method of service delivery. ICT provides a core set of services to youth with co-occurring disorders of substance use and serious emotional disability, as well as to the families caring for them. ICT therapists seek to provide interventions that impact the contextual factors that are influenced by the youth’s co-occurring disorders. To this end, ICT requires both youth and family participation, which means at least one parent / guardian needs to be involved in the intervention process. The ICT model has proven successful in improving the following treatment outcomes for youth and families:
- Decreased substance use disorder symptoms
- Decreased mental health disorder symptoms
- Decreased juvenile justice charges and placements
- Decreased out-of-home placements
- Improved school functioning
- Improved family functioning
- Improved community functioning and involvement
Best practice research indicates that integrated treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is the most effective approach for adolescents. Our master’s-level clinicians are dually trained and licensed in both mental health and substance use treatment, allowing for a coordinated and comprehensive model of care.
Services include individual and family counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management. Case management services also provide linkage to and advocacy with schools, courts, and other community resources to support coordinated care.
Services are delivered in the home or community whenever possible and often involve the full family system. This approach helps strengthen relationships, improve communication, and support lasting healing for adolescents and their families.
Our behavioral health group programs provide children, adolescents, and families with opportunities to build skills, strengthen relationships, and work through challenges alongside others who may be experiencing similar concerns. Services include Child and Adolescent Group programs as well as our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), offering different levels of support based on each young person’s needs.

Intensive Outpatient Program
The Intensive Outpatient Program is a 10-week program providing structured group counseling for adolescents ages 13–17 experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges. The program helps youth develop skills and strategies to support recovery and improved daily functioning.
The program uses an evidence-based Dialectical Behavior Therapy curriculum in group sessions. Individual therapy is tailored to address each participant’s specific mental health and/or substance use needs, along with coordinated case management support for youth and families.
Group sessions meet three days per week—Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:00–6:00 p.m.—and are supplemented with weekly individual therapy.
The program runs year-round, with a brief break during the winter holidays. Groups are semi-open, allowing new participants to enter at designated points throughout the 10-week cycle.
Family involvement and transportation are important components of participation. Families are responsible for transportation; however, limited assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis.
The Intensive Outpatient Program is primarily funded through Medicaid, with limited grant funding available for eligible non-Medicaid participants.
